Logan ready for action on track with her ever present Coach, Advisor, PR Manager and Sponsor…a.k.a “Dad”

Having got to grips with the SWS leisure kart scene, it was inevitable that Logan would want to challenge herself in ’real’ racing karts and so in March 2014, Logan took to the track in the junior class of the UAE Rotax Max Challenge the last couple of races of the season.

Contrary to what you might think the UAE Rotax Max Challenge is a formidable and unforgiving championship, with the Middle East season running from October to April, the series attracts many of the top UK and international drivers, including several ‘factory’ drivers and World Champions in the ‘European off-season’ keen to keep their eye in during their winter.

These visiting drivers bolster the already quality grids of resident expatriate and Emirati drivers, who themselves are talented, tough and seasoned kart racers providing no quarter to anyone, regardless of status or gender.

Returning for her first full season in the 2014 / 15 winter championship, Logan impressed with several top 10 finishes in a field of up to 24 karts.

It certainly seems that a new generation of girl power is hitting the racing circuits in general and the UAE Rotax Max Challenge in particular, where, no less than 5 female drivers are now competing in various classes across the championship in the 2015/16 season.

Logan has certainly not been overawed by the ‘no quarter given’ style of international competition and acquitted herself well in her first few races in the series, (where, as a novice she started from the back of the grid in accordance with the regulations).

Logan was soon mixing it with her rivals during practice and race sessions and has been progressively growing in confidence with every race since.
